SIZE:
Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., is the world's
LARGEST Latino-based Fraternity. SLB spans "Coast To Coast" and have established over 100 chapters and colonies in the last twenty one years, making us one of the fastest growing Greek organizations in history.
DIVERSITY:
Although we are a Latino-based organization, Sigma Lambda Beta is a multicultural fraternity and has a diverse brotherhood. Just in the UCSC chapter alone, we have had Filipino, German, and Taiwanese brothers.
STRONG BROTHERHOOD:Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., prides itself in having a strong brotherhood and sense of family. This sense of brotherhood is not limited between Chapter Brothers; Brothers of SLB travel often and have strong bonds with Brothers from other campuses and states as well.
CONNECTIONS:
Sigma Lambda Beta's size and strong brotherhood helps unlock doors for many Brothers after their undergraduate career. Job connections and references are so vital in today's world that they are almost necessary to get into grad school or get a job after one completes their degree work.
WE ARE VERY INVOLVED AND ACTIVE: Sigma Lambda Beta has been very active in campus and local communities since 1986. Chapters of Sigma Lambda Beta are required to put on a minimum of 2 community service projects per semester, but we often find ourselves doing a lot more. Whether it be educating our community on how to perform CPR, assisting the Second Harvest Food Bank by helping collect OVER 450 DONATED MEALS, or raising funds for breast cancer research, Sigma Lambda Beta is proud and genuine about our service to the community.
WE ARE A NON-HAZING FRATERNITY:Sigma Lambda Beta is strictly a non-hazing fraternity. We can't build a strong brotherhood by humiliating and hurting our prospective members.
In order to begin the Membership Education Process, one must satisfy the following requirements:
Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credits per quarter)
Must have a cumulative GPA of atleast 2.25
Must submit a transcript (preferably unofficial), resume, and a letter of intent
Must gain 3/4 approval of active brothers on campus
